The restaurant Ostrova was founded in 2002 in Plovdiv and is one of the biggest restaurants with long established traditions and authentic Bulgarian cuisine, professional service and not at last place it combines Bulgarian national interior and a rare nature that can be seen in the park „Recreation and Culture”. Furthermore, it is located very close to one of the biggest attractions in Plovdiv – the Regatta Venue with its Rowing Canal.
This is a preposition for a peaceful and cosy visit of this unique restaurant, far away from the busy life in the big city. The restaurant offers to the guests a big, spacious summer garden with over three hundred seats, a covered area with two hundred seats available with comfortable tables and bowers, and small ponds with fountains bubbling between them, surrounded also with greenery and flowers. There is a VIP bower in the north side of the restaurant that can be reached by a small wooden bridge where you can find a waterfall with a perfectly clear cold water that rotates a wooden mill wheel. Only in the restaurant Ostrova you can taste the famous ‘Rodhope’ cheverme (lamb roasted on a spit over an open fire), prepared according to an Old Bulgarian authentic recipe, which is kept in secret by the owners of the complex. The kitchen Staff is proud of their delicious hot platters and the big assortment of barbeque on a charcoal.
